The Syriza party has continued to stay in power as they confirmed the win yesterday evening. However, although they were the winners they will still need to form a coalition.
The good news for the single currency is that there has been no big change so this has kept the Euro on stable ground at least for the time-being.
The next catalyst for GBPEUR rates will be on Wednesday when ECB president Mario Draghi takes to the stage.
His words will be watched closely by investors as when he spoke earlier in the month he downgraded Eurozone growth forecasts and suggested that inflation may fall below 0%.
